Little Miss Squishy found a puddle after breakfast. A leaf drifted from one edge to the other. She called the puddle a sea and drew a map on the back of a shopping list.
Her paper boat sailed past a stone island and under a bridge made from one twig. A beetle waited at the far shore. She moved the twig a little so the beetle could cross too.
By lunch, the sun had made the sea smaller. By supper, it was gone. Little Miss Squishy did not mind. She had the map, the leaf and a story to tell Mr. and Mrs. Squishy.
On the map she wrote: ‘Some places only last a day. Go while you can.’
